Rockstar Games has already confirmed the prices and detailed content of GTA 6's two official editions. This guide breaks down exactly what differs between the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition to help you decide before launch on November 19, 2026.

Official prices

EditionPrice (US)Price (Brazil)
Standard Edition$79.99R$ 449.90
Ultimate Edition$99.99R$ 549.90

The difference is $20 (or R$ 100 in Brazil).

What's included in the Standard Edition

The complete main campaign, with the entire story of Jason and Lucia in Leonida, with no cuts to narrative or open-world content. According to Rockstar, "the entire world and the complete story" are already included at the base price.

What the Ultimate Edition adds

The Ultimate Edition adds an optional content package, all of it single-player and with no changes to the story:

  • Electric Fang — exclusive tattoo parlor with more than 50 designs signed by the FAILE artist collective.
  • Classic Car Collection — a questline dedicated to locating abandoned classic cars scattered across the map.
  • 5 exclusive vehicles.
  • 3 exclusive weapons.
  • 2 complete cosmetic packs (clothing/appearance).
  • 5 exclusive businesses, including a barbershop that's already generating plenty of buzz among fans.
  • 2 exclusive side missions.

What's the same in both editions

  • The entire main campaign, uncut.
  • The full map of Leonida, with no area restrictions.
  • The pre-order bonus Vintage Vice City Pack (doesn't depend on the edition chosen).
  • Access to online mode, once launched.

Is it worth paying more for the Ultimate?

Since the extra content is 100% optional and cosmetic/convenience-focused — no item is required to finish the game — the answer depends on your play style:

  • It's worth it if you enjoy exploring extra content, visual customization (tattoos, vehicles, clothing) and additional side quests.
  • It makes no difference if your only interest is the main campaign — it's identical in both editions.

I bought the Standard — can I upgrade later?

Yes. Rockstar confirmed there will be a separately purchasable Ultimate Edition Upgrade after launch, for anyone who starts with the Standard and later decides they want the extra content. The exact price of that upgrade hasn't been announced yet.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Ultimate Edition give a gameplay advantage? No — all the content is cosmetic, optional side-story, or convenience-related (extra businesses), with no impact on main campaign progression.

Does the Ultimate's barbershop make a real difference? It's one of the edition's 5 exclusive businesses — it functions as customization/side content, not as something necessary to the story.

Where can I buy it in Brazil? PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and retailers like Amazon, Kabum and Nuuvem, at the same price as the digital version.

Do the physical boxes in Brazil come with a disc? No — physical versions sold in Brazil come only with a download code, no physical disc, a Rockstar measure to prevent early leaks.
