The codename is “Hexagon”, and so far that is all Discord and Rockstar have not said out loud. On October 7, the account Wumpus Central, which tracks the app's code, posted on X what it had found: references to a limited-time GTA 6 campaign inside Discord, including a preview of a theme. Neither company has confirmed it. Everything below is a leak and should be read as one.

We could not open the original X post; what follows comes from VGTimes, 80 Level and Beebom, which picked it up.

What the leak describes

According to the three reports, the campaign would bring profile customization in the game's look:

  • a GTA 6 app icon;
  • an interface theme. Beebom says it would be the desktop theme in Vice City's pink and yellow palette; 80 Level speaks of a platform-wide theme;
  • a custom font for display names. Beebom speculates it would be Pricedown Black, the typeface Rockstar uses across the series, but that is the press guessing, not something in the code;
  • a Discord Quest, a format where users earn rewards for playing games or engaging with some content. Requirements and prize are not in what leaked; Beebom guesses, with a caveat, at Orbs for a themed shop.

The dates, and where the sources split

VGTimes and Beebom give November 17, 2026 as the start. 80 Level, for its part, gives no start date, only the ends: December 8 for the campaign in general and February 15, 2027 for Nitro subscribers, who would keep the customization longer (Beebom specifies that December 8 applies to non-Nitro users).

One of the pieces also has a counting slip. Beebom says the campaign would start “a day before” the game; on the calendar, November 17 is two days before November 19, as VGTimes writes. Our reading is that this is just an editing slip, but it is worth noting, because the leak has little fat to lose.

In short, what stands in all three sources: a project called Hexagon exists, it involves GTA 6, it ends on December 8 (Nitro: February 15, 2027) and it brings visual customization. November 17 appears in two of them.

How much to trust it

Beebom notes that Wumpus Central has “a solid track record” with Discord leaks and that an earlier leak about a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 partnership, which gave Nitro subscribers a beta code, turned out right. We did not check that case ourselves, so it stays an attribution.

Even so, datamined material is a draft: dates, rewards and even the campaign's existence can change before it goes live. And a brand partnership with a game is normally announced by both sides. Here, as 80 Level sums it up, neither Discord nor Rockstar has said anything official about Hexagon.

What it says about the platform

80 Level makes an observation that helps place the story: Discord is mostly a PC platform, and GTA 6 launches as a console exclusive “at least for now”. In other words, the campaign, if real, does not depend on the game running on the user's computer. The question this reopens is PC, which we covered in GTA 6 may not reach PC before 2027 or 2028. The leak says nothing about that, and drawing a conclusion from it would be a stretch.

The date also talks to the calendar we already know. The November 19 launch is staggered by time zone, and pre-loading opens on November 12; a campaign starting two days before launch would land in the week of highest anticipation. Beebom also mentions that the Miami Heat is preparing a GTA 6-themed game in the same window, the subject of our piece on the team partnership.

What is still unknown

In the sources we read, nobody can say: whether the campaign applies in Brazil (Discord campaigns are sometimes regional); what the Quest asks for and what it pays; whether the theme and icon are free for everyone or only for Nitro holders during the window; and whether Hexagon really is the internal name of this partnership or of another project. Until Discord or Rockstar speaks, treat it as a strong possibility, not a fact.

Our reading: what makes the leak plausible is how well it fits the calendar, and what counts against it is the absence of any hint from inside Rockstar. That is our assessment, and we will update when there is confirmation.
